It can be argued that the use of recycled resources lessens the mechanical strength of the material, and for some composite decking products, this may be true. ModernView Decking is different. Not only is this material eco-friendly, but it is manufactured using several unique patented methods wherein the wood fibers are aligned and completely encapsulated in plastic. The wood fibers reinforce the plastic, making it stiffer and reducing thermal movement, the plastic bonds to the wood fibers, making it moisture resistant. Additionally, our deck boards are extruded and allowed to cool slowly, which means they will not twist or warp.
